Continental Construction & Design Inc.

Job History 1977-Present

Owner: Greg Selk

1976 -1979:

I owned and operated Continental Framing. Once a foundation was poured, I was accountable for reading blue prints and building the house structure. I started in Gardner, Kansas then expanded my business to Johnson County, Kansas. I worked for several builders on many different home designs.

1979 -1985:

I transferred to Aspen, Colorado. I partnered with a family who built custom homes for celebrities. The market ranged from 1 million to 50 million. I learned that quality out-paces price. Quality workmanship is my cornerstone.

1985 – 1988:

I joined the Local Carpenters Union 714 in the Kansas City metro area. I worked on commercial projects and was involved in the entire construction process. The jobs demanded quality finish and trim work. I enjoyed the workmanship.

1988 -Present:

I started Continental Construction & Design Inc. In the first few years, I filled a client list worthy of selling. I continue to serve these original customers. I am reputable in room additions. I develop the design drawings or follow a ready-made design. The jobs start with excavation and end with hanging mirrors. This is referred to as a “turn-key” operation.

Designed and finished basements, I am an expert. Current finishes included full kitchens, cedar storage, weight rooms, pool tables with arcades, in-law living quarters, fireplaces, and most notably movie theatres. I continue to customize these projects with alcoves, drop ceilings, flared stair landings for safety, open concrete walls for walk-outs, and more.

Remodeling a kitchen brings value to a home. If a kitchen asks for a fresh look or demands a gutting to the studs, I am capable of meeting the design requirements. I am cross-trained to direct all types of sub-contracted labor.

All projects are completed with quality, honesty and integrity. I am licensed as a Class B General Contractor. Class B General Contractor allows for commercial and residential building. I perform both disciplines with distinction.

Thank you and call today so I can start that long-awaited project! 913-948-2524.
